Could it be Damien Brunner??

First, by the way and that is a first.

Jagr with Staal, Semin, Skinner on the pp would be scary, Jags may have slowed down but all the puck possesion and smarts are still there.

I think you're overreaching on the price for Jagr at this point. Teams aren't exactly beating down the door for him. I'd bet 1 year at 3-3.2 gets it done. Ship out Welsh's 800k or don't play Lindholm in the NHL this year and the canes should be ok w the cap.

I would love to see #68 in red, childhood idol! It is odd how all of this would fall into place, but hopefully JR can make it happen. Just think of the upgrade there! Close your eyes and picture Ruutu/J. Staal/Jagr, and then picture Ruutu./J. Staal/LaRose. Jagr>>>>>>>>>LaRose

I'd put Jagr with the kids on a line and Dwyer w Staal and Ruutu but that's a debate for another time. Also, as I mentioned, Jagr and Tlusty had some great chemistry playing together on a line during the lockout. If we split up the big 3 on line 1, what options would that give us?

I doubt Jagr would look to sign somewhere where he would be on a line with "the kids" at this point in his career.

The most logical choice seems to be Grabo IMO! Why Jagr?

Morrow would work good on the 3rd line.

Why would we want Grabo? Another smallish forward for 5mil+ for multiple years instead of Jagr for 4milish for 1 year?

I'll take Jagr

I would be happy with either Jagr or Morrow.

Trade Skinner for something (I haven't figured out what yet) and use his money to sign Morrow and Jagr. Skinner should have tremendous trade value and should bring a good return. JR could use the money to get both of the guys in question signed and the team gets bigger and tougher to play against.

I like Skinner, but JR has too much money tied up in the top end forwards.

Thats a complete step backwards. Sign one of them and maybe they'll help Skinners game. Look what Jagr did for Giroux.

It does seem like Skinner will be the odd man out at some point, just not yet....

Yesterday I said don't bring in a forward, if the talks are true and the player is Jagr, do it. Do it now. He could help in so many ways. I'm not sold on the idea of moving out a younger player to bring in a old, albeit still very useful Jagr for just one year, but we have to do something to improve the PP if we want to go anywhere in the playoffs, let alone make the playoffs. Can Jagr be the mentor here he was in philly? If so, I personally would love to see him work his magic with Skinner. Could be amazing.....

For people wondering about UFA Jaromir Jagr, I have been told by team sources that the #Canes are not actively pursuing Jagr at this time.
